I didn't get flowers or chocolate either...my DH got me the slippers I have been looking for for months and a beautiful card with some major $$$ to help me on my trip to Florida. Y'all did great :thumbup:

In my thinking, best friends make the most wonderful marriages. The day you planned and made happen is what I call an "adventure". It is my most very favorite kind of gift. Thank you for sharing your gift with me/us. I felt happy for both of you and to read about it.

I believe the sewing machine was a real find, as well as a great "gift", too.

(p.s. It's the kind of marriage my parents had, and as another aside... my dad was retired Navy.)
