I have done Debbie Caffrey mysteries and Merry Mayhem, Inspector Cluesew. Go to www.Planetpatchwork.com they usually have a mystery going.
A small disclaimer the one I mentioned in above post was a BOM not a mystery.

Hi, everyone. I've been ouside all day today and am a little down from heat today.
I had a pattern in mind, but maybe with a copyright issue, should defer that one.
But, I have lots of designs.
I have a Christmas wall hanging I designed. I don't want to give too many details right now and spoil it. There is one piece of applique on it and a little bit of embellishing. I would have to post the applique piece or e-mail it w/instructions.
There would be some stripping and paper piecing. I would provide the piecing template in the e-mail.
I don't want to give too many details. I want to keep it mysterious. If anybody is interested, I'll post the first clue, I'll call it, to start it.

I sort of wanted to know if anyone wanted to do a lap quilt or wall hanging. I didn't want to make it too big a project and tax everyone's time.
This wall hanging could be a lap quilt, but I think you'd have to scratch the embellishment I have for it and add borders.
I would give the list of fabrics and yardages. I've scanned some of the current Hoffman Christmas/Holiday prints to give an idea of what to use.
But, you would use whatever you like in your stash along the lines of these images.
These are color options for you. If you want an "outdoorsy" wintery feel to this, use fabrics like the following:

These are more color options for "outdoors." I've scanned these from E-quilter's site. Feel free to mix in any number of light, medium and dark blue batiks to supplement. But, I'll lay out everything for you and you can make your color selections.

For those who would like an indoors, "traditional" color theme, here are examples of those.
You will NOT be mixing the two color options, the blues/silvers with the traditional colors.
Also, these are not all the colors used, but just the colors in the first clue.
