Does anyone know the name of this star block on this table runner? The blog where it came from is no longer available & I love this & would like to make one some day. Thanks in advance.

don't know the name, but it is really lovely! It's basically a paper pieced lemoyne star. If you look closely, it is 8 sections of the same 45 degree diamond, just alternated. One the print diamond points out, the next section it's turned so the diamond points to the center. I'm guessing it's paper pieced and you could draft it.

Carol Doak has a book on paper-pieced stars. I know I have a couple of her books & I'm sure that star is in one of them.

It's the Ohio Star in Carol Doak's 50 fabulous paper-pieced stars (she has a star for each state)

I agree: I think it's a combination paper pieced star pattern by Carol Doak.

Thanks for the information on this star. I just think it's so pretty. I'll check out my library & hope they have Carol Doak's book.
