Thanks for the great idea for choosing fabrics for Bargello quilts. I think it would also work well on other quilt designs as well. Many years ago I made a Twister quilt, thinking I had made a good choice in fabrics. However, one fabric had a larger design than the others, and although I thought it worked well, it came out differently in the final quilt. I was surprised though when showing the quilt at a Guild meeting, many people commented on the pop of yellow in that print adding some zing - the same fabric I didn't like in the quilt when I put it together. I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder whether it was not a good idea, or whether it was a great pop of color in the quilt.

Funny, I had forgotten about this hint. This remainder came at a good time, as I am playing with fabric for my next Bargello.

I did a bargello, but not with that technique. My daughter helped me. Being artsy, it worked. So I thought...hey...I got this and picked out a ton of fabric for a bargello for our own bedroom. HATE the colors as they are working up.
Maybe I should start over with this technique!
