I am considering purchasing a quilting frame to use with my Janome Memory Craft 6600. Does anyone have any advice for me? Are they worth the money? Is my machine too heavy? Thanks in advance.

the frames that put your machine on a carriage can hold quite a bit, my Bailey weighs about 40 lbs. it's a GMQ Pro frame it can take small domestic machines up to a 24" longarm

If you were in Alaska I'd make you a heck of a deal on a Grace frame that has never been put together...I figured out that the quilting part of quilting is not my thing so never used it..sorry. Like ckcowl, I think John Flynn's frame is a neat setup and the price is very good.

I have a little graceII frame with a Bailey and it hold just fine. You can always weigh your machine and call the grace company for their opinion, doesn't mean you have to purchase from them, look around, call around check out all your options before you buy. Good luck

I had the John Flynn frame and gave it to my sister when I got an Easyquilter system. I love it. I have the Janome 6600 and it fits great and glides very easily.

Here's a web site for it:
