I was going to hand quilt... but I could totally do something additional in the blocks.

Can you show us the butterfly, or will it not fit in the block? I was thinking more than one, like nose to nose or tail to tail on the dragonfly..

I think it would be fun to do all butterflies except for one. Finding the dragonfly would be a little game. I love your stencil.

I will have to take a picture in the morning; there is not enough light to get a good picture from where the quilt it currently located. So far I have opted to do alternating in a weird fashion butterflies and dragonflies.

Here let me try

my potential pattern

I like your last design, but I would add something where the pieces meet, because that's a rather large area to leave unquilted. Maybe a simple flower outline?

I think it will look great the way you've got it traced out, and then if you feel like it needs something more for durability, you could go back and stitch in the ditch or just outside the seam lines around each of the pink and green blocks.

Really cute quilt!
