I used to use W&N but have recently switched to Quilters Dream. It is softer, a bit fluffier, and IMO their wool is better than Hobbs Tuscany.

I like Quilter's Dream Puff. You can use a double layer if you want more loft. It's great quality!

In UK have an excellent place called ASDING which seems to specialise on batting. I paid for a large quantity at a show on a Saturday and received my parcel Monday. They also do wholesale and sell full things.

I have also used amazon to buy small amounts.

I did buy some green bottle batting which was very soft and extremely easy to hand quilt and machine it did have a slightly larger loft than Hobbs cotton.
