The apartment we moved into a few months ago has a quilt shop just almost across the street that I never knew about. I was going all the way downtown to a different quilting shop! So finally I went in today and they have a quilt because group that meets once a week while the kids are at school and they make quilts for our local pediatric and cancer units at our hospital. Everything is donated so I get to quilt for a wonderful purpose and chat with a bunch of new people who are very experienced. SOOOOOO happy :)

Ohhhh, I would be absolutely broke with a quilt shop across the street...but the chance to meet new people, chat, eat of course, and work on a worthy project together heaven. Dang work keeps getting in the way of fun.

What a wonderful opportunity for you!!!!!
To learn as you go, to be with other quilters (the best people in the world)
and then to feel the glow when you know that you've made a difference
in someone else's life. You've got a really good thing going!!!!!!
I'm really happy for you.
