Will you be adding other background fabrics, or using the lights in your selections? I too, question the larger leaf print, is it light or dark? I love the color combination you have chosen, and don't think the red will pop too much nor draw the focus, it feels like a team player to me and I think it will brighten the quilt. Very nice.

I agree with many before...I think your fabric selections are GORGEOUS for this project. Looking forward to seeing your progression. How many different color choices does the project call for...you have a great variety!!

Is the top group the background and the lower group the rings? If so, the darkest of the background might be too close to the ring color causing the rings to "disappear" in places (which could be an interesting twist).

I recom mocking up a full ring + background to see if you like the results. (That's what I did when I made my first and last DWR 11 years ago)
