Default Need Help Identifying Quilt Pattern and Possible Age #3

Another estate sale find. Need help identifying pattern and possible age. Looks mostly hand stitched with some possible machine work.

Not sure what the official name of this quilt is but Bonnie Hunter of Quiltville calls this pattern "Virginia Bound". It is what is commonly referred to as a string quilt and there are many variations of string quilts. This is just one of many. I have also seen it referenced as a star string quilt and I have seen it made where the white in your quilt may be the colored strings and the star part is white.

Can't help you date it.

Don't know the name or date but I am sure it was hand quilted.

It is beautiful fabrics look about 30 or 40s.

The block is called Rocky Road to Kansas. Love the scrappy look of this quilt. Just gorgeous...

Do you quilt? Or just collect? I notice that all your posts are about the age or pattern of quilts you’ve found.

Rocky Road to Kansas 1930s would be my guess. Love the hand quilting.

This quilter was a perfectionist. Look at those points and the joining of seams! All of the quilts you are showing indicate her ability. Thankfully someone who appreciates these quilts has made the purchase.
