    Default Need help with label

A while back a young man (around 30years old!) in our church died, and his wife asked me and another quilting friend to make T-shirt quilts for each of their three daughters. We will soon have them done and are trying think of something to put on the label to indicate it is a memory quilt made from their father’s shirts. Any suggestions? The girls are all young (6-13 years old). Thanks in advance!

So sorry for the loss of your friend and the family he left behind.
I just did a web search & came up with these. Maybe you could combine some that you like to help you say something special on the labels for the girls.

Since the wife asked that the quilts be made, I would ask her for the wording for the commemorative label. A separate smaller label could hold the names of the quilt makers.

I did this for my niece. I copied out a reading from the funeral service then put hugs from (husband) (daddy) (Dad) depending on the relationship.

I changed some of the wording from the label that Tess Meyers had on her label. "Here is your quilt to keep you warm as you cuddle up tight and sleep with hugs from Dad tonight".

I wrote this poem for the memory quilts I made for my siblings and aunts:
When you’re sad and feeling blue
    And you are missing me,
Wrap up in this cuddle quilt
And I’ll be close, you see.
For I am with you always,
    Every minute, every day.
I may be up in heaven now
But in your heart I’ll stay.
