I am "attempting" to put together a baby blanket. The front is cotton and the back is flannel. I also want to be batting in the center to make it heavier. My problem is it begins as a perfect square, but by then time In get it all stitched from end to end the cotton panel on the front is puckered. Is there a certain stitch I should use since it it flannel. What am I doing wrong!!

Are you using an even feed foot?
Sounds like that might be the problem.

I agree, flannel stretches so a walking foot is needed.

I am making a baby blanket using Minkee and flannel and was having the same problem with fabric moving on me. Switched to a walking foot and it helped immensely. Good luck!

Maybe adjust the pressure on your pressure foot, and try lengthening your stitches too :D:D:D
