Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the quilting board and so far have enjoyed it immensely except for one thing. I am a self-taught hand quilter and have had much success (at least I think so), but it's been a while since I finished my last quilt and have been thinking of getting started again. I figured I would get a lot of ideas from all of you who post here.
My problem is that so many posts contain abbreviations that I don't recognize and, as a result, a lot of the time I don't know what you are talking about! Is there a list somewhere I can consult to figure all this out? Sometimes I am able to figure out the meaning of a topic from the gist of the conversations, but most times I am lost! Help!

The Search function is at the top of the page, and if you search Abbreviations you'll find it. Glad to have you here, and don't ever think any question is stupid!! Just ask away...we were all theree at one time!! :-)

Here is a link that will give you computer abbreviations as well as some quilting abbreviations.
http://quiltpox.com/Tools/abbreviations.html
Others that I didn't notice on there were
UFO - Un Finished Object
WIP - Work in Progress
If you need others feel free to ask.
