The back of this quilt was made with similar blocks. The quilterscache pattern calls for 2" squares but I just adjusted my other measurements because I prefer 2 1/2".

I like both the ones with the border around the block and the X block next to it.. Both are simple, but look great. I have a number of 16 blocks, which are just made into a postage stamp quilt. I like that one, too, but no photo of it yet.

Arkansas Crossroads would be my choice. I think it works with any colors.

I'm taking notes too, because I have tons of mini-charms from a swap and 16 patches will be a wonderful way to use them. Please keep those suggestions coming!
