I think your first idea of cosmetic bags is right on target. I've made the Sweet Pea Pods for Lazy Girl Designs for friends and included a lip smackers lip gloss and it was a hit. What a great idea for your friends!

I posted the chap stick/lipstick gift idea at the link above. I received mine in a birthday card.

Everyone I have given these to have loved them. I use theme fabric. My grandaughter loves it to hold her chargers and ear buds when traveling. Find a theme fabric for each friend and put in an item of that theme.
    Cute drawstring bag idea..thanks!

How old are your friends? I have reader glasses and enjoy having a slipcase for them in my purse--bright color and easier to find. Also I created a little pouch similar to the chapstick carrier in design but for carrying extra hearing aid batteries. When one goes bad, it's easy to tuck into the pouch than having it "somewhere".

I am making cell phone wristlets for my girls. Lots of ideas on Pinterest.
Great idea when you don’t want to carry a large purse.

I recently watched Jenny Doan make really cute zippered pouches on Youtube. Also, the one Onebyone suggested. Laura has some awesome tutorials. One Christmas I made the fabric boxes and they were easy and everyone loved them. I used Christmas fabrics but my sister uses hers all year!

May I suggest making those shopping bags that have a pocket sewn on the front and you can fold them up into themselves. They are my current small sewing project.

    Good idea!
We can all use these more and more with fewer and fewer bags being given out.
The fold away style is really good, as then one could keep it in their purse or even a pocket.
    Always prepared!

BusyFingers ... By chance ... do you have the info re a pattern for these that you would share?
Or a link to one online?
    Please? and Thanks!
