Default Need info about the gray Janome 8900

I知 looking for information about the Janome 8900 in gray. I was wondering anyone knows when the gray one was no longer available? Janome came out with a blue 8900 that was improved over the gray 8900.

I bought a gray one over the weekend and I知 trying to figure out how old it is. Also, can anyone tell me how to look up how many hours use it痴 had?

if the manual didn't come with it you can download one from the janome site.

I have the "red" one. I think at that time they were also selling "grey". Seems like the colors were limited editions in that year/model, but I don't think the machines themselves are actually different. I bought mine in 2015. On sale. I think it may have been a 2014 model, hence the trying to get rid on them sale.

The red version was just a "special edition" faceplate for the grey model. Janome released it because so many liked the red of the 7700.

The light blue is indeed a slightly different/more featured machine - easy-set bobbin, acu-flex, different needle plates, and I think different lighting.
