i am so over Brother/Babylock. The dealers here arent helpful, arent very nice and i really dont want to give them my money!

I tried to test drive the QC 1000 today, went there the lady just kinda snickered at me, i couldnt even thread the machine. Got frustrated and left!

I am going to have to stick with a janome.

sewcrazy, I would be very leary of shopping on line esp w/o trying the machine. I buy online but not that. I need someone face to face. You still have to look at servicing it somewhere with someone trustworthy.

I visiited a super store Joann's in Mi and they sold good machines. It was either Viking or Bernina. They may be renting their space from Joanns. Not sure if that helps anyone in the market. Keep looking.
I sewed on a cheap Simplicity machine until I go this Janome 3000. I should sell that one.

I do not know for sure, but I was told that the machines that are sold in the stores are not of the same quality as the ones sold by dealers. They are good machines, but must use other parts. Be sure to ask a dealer about that.

I don't know where in TN you are, but there's a really good dealer in Memphis. Probably too far away. I have a Babylock Quest Plus. The dealer here in town has seriously gone crazy. I'm not kidding. He was kind of difficult to deal with before but now impossible.

I wouldnt go there. I rather shop online, these dealers have too much power, or they think they do.
