Need opinions on color for satin stich on butterfly quilt.

Hi everyone,
I have been so busy helping husband harvest our garden and decorating my guest room after finishing the AtticWindow quilt. Took a little rest from quilting. Now I am doing a twin size quilt for a young girl. Colors are very bright. The butterflies are applique. I have sewn with small stitches the Buttierflies wings and body so they are attached to the block. I have a good stablerizer under block, that washes away. Now I want to satin stich the butterfly wings and body. But oh so many colors. Dont' really want to use Black. Except for the antennia. So should I use different colors like I have on the blocks? Or should I just use one Dark color on All? Sashes are Orange and Border is Yellow. Binding will be Green with hot pink Dots. Thats what she wants!!! Don't want to use the Blanket stitch. I love doing the satin and I believe it will make the wings and body stand out.
Give me some options PLEASE so I can compare and decide.
Thank you all

That is sooooo pretty and bright and happy! I always have a hard time deciding on colors, but I think a nice shiny thread close to or matching the butterfly would look nice. Or, you could pick up a color from somewhere else on that blocks butterfly. I am sure you will choose just the right thing as you have done beautifully on the blocks themselves.

Wow -- beautiful blocks!!! I think it would look neat if every butterfly had a bright, unmatching color -- like pink stitching on the yellow butterfly. It would be in keeping with the other bright colors in the quilt :D
But whatever color(s) you use, I'm sure it will look "just right"!

How cute is that!! I love your quilt and all the bright colors. I like the idea of different colors around the butterflies but I'm so anal I'd have to match the thread to the wings. Whatever you do it's going to look great-please post pictures when you finish.

I always coordinate the color to what I am appliqueing, but, I think if you use the color of the body of the butterfly for the outside and the color of the outside for the body, I think that would look cute. You could try it on a test block to see how you would like it.
Other than that, it's a very cute quilt and I cannot wait to see it finished.
