I think it would make an amazing Stack & Whack. If you haven't made one you will be amazed at how different, interesting, pretty, etc,etc they turn out. Just take it step by step and carefully follow the directions. Not hard and once you get going it is hard to stop as you can hardly wait to see how the next group of pieces turns out.

I agree with the 4 patch posy idea. It takes an "ugly" fabric and turns it into something beautiful.

If you cut it into small pieces, nobody will know how ugly the fabric was. It's a magic trick of quiltmaking. lol

I like to cut my ugly fabrics into small pieces. I've had great success with using ugly fabrics in log cabins or pineapple quilts with 1" wide logs. It's time-consuming, but well worth it.

Love your pineapple quilt, Peggi.

I think it is pretty also. I would like it better without that shade of yellow and green. I'm with most, it should make a pretty quilt, lots of patterns could be used. Pick colors from it to use for sloid blocks or strips like courthouse steps, or just strips around a square.

Hey I like it. It could be a good backing and you could follow the lines and practice your free motion quilting. Unless your like many on this board who are great at it. Im not this is why I often look for fabric to practice on. I think it would make really cool pinwheels as well. For a OBW shouldn't the pattern repeat every 12 to 15 inches. This is what I've been told. But then again I have never attempted on. I hope we get to see your finished project.

I would probably cut it into rectangular shapes all the same size say 8 1/2 X 12 1/2 and do the same to another fabric that works with it. I'd do smaller rectangles with solids and piece together using another solid for sashing. Kind of a Piet Mondrian style.
