LOVE your quilt!
My first thought is to not do too much quilting to keep it soft and cuddly.
How about a simple diamond in each square?

If possible ... just leave the quilting at the SITD, with the wide open spaces for more cuddle power!

The squares are 12" and the batting requires 6".

I think I would go with the concept of the Baptist fan but only try to have two or three arch curves that would stabilize the batting in each square. Find a thread color that will disappear in to the print and not be too dominant.

Those of you who are suggesting the Baptist fan, do you mean to do some circles in each square, or simply to ignore the blocks and do an overall Baptist fan pattern?

I think I would do a single fan in each individual block. . .
