Found this at the thrift store - it was in a bag and I could only tell that it was bargello in beautiful batiks. I did not hesitate to pay the $2.99 for it and couldn't wait to get home and rip open the bag. This is what I found - - -

It's 85" long and 30" wide. I thought about cutting the length in half and making a reversible lap quilt or two wall hangings with a black binding. What other ideas are out there. THANKS.

My goodness that is beautiful. I'm not a bargello fan but in those batiks it is just stunning. Great find. I look forward to hearing what ideas are out there.

Beautiful. If it was me I would just finish it as is and use it as a throw
on the couch or a bed runner maybe?

Definitely I would cut it at the half way point add enough borders to get it to the proper lap quilt size and treasure them, sell them or donate them. In essence you will have paid just over $1.50 for the bargello section in each quilt. Awesome find!

Is there enough to make a jacket? Or what about a blind for a window.

I'm not a big fan of this pattern either....but I love this color combo. Great buy!! Can't wait to see the finished product.

Great Idea! I am afraid if you took it apart, you would lose the pattern.

I'm wondering if you could cut it into thirds and create a tryptich. You could quilt the three pieces, then staple them to inexpensive artist's frames for display on a wall.
