Thread: Nest thread My solution

    Just had to share this. I have tried all of the suggestions I could find to avoid creating the "Nest" at the beginning of sewing pieces.
    I cut a 1" piece of velcro(sticky kind) using the loopy side and taped it about 5" behind the needle and to the left. Eureka!
    I pull the two threads and place it on the velcro. I then drop my foot, then my needle, reach over to detach thread from velcro and away I go.
    No more Nests.....

    Very creative indeed!! :) I usually do the Leader-Ender thing, which works well for most projects, but sometimes I can't do that, so this would be a great solution. Thanks for sharing!

    I love the avatar picture. The expression on that childs' face is priceless. Kind of looks like the long suffering look my husband gets on his face after we've been shopping for 10 minutes.
