it is amazing to find so many OKie quilters on this board...pretty cool!
I moved here in 2005 from the Alaska bush...400 miles off of any road system and I swear we had more to do than we do here in Enid!

I also am new to this site and having a little trouble getting things right. Would like to add a picture here but can't figure out how to do it.

Hi! and welcome from another Okie! Bet you have some great tips on organizing a quiltroom, if as I am guessing, you are in an RV and driving to all these places? This is a great group to visit with and learn a lot from each other. :-D

I have several "block's of the month" ready and waiting for me to tackle them. Christmas quilts have kept me busy for quite some time....If you have not done this type of blocks watch for BOM on the various sites....click on it and you will be immediately be taken to that section of the site. Usually there is a "start up" fee of about 24.00. That will get things rolling....(select the "finished" quilt you like)..You will received one block per month until you have received them all....I would like to sit down and make the blocks as they come in, but have not had the time...till now. You will be billed monthly for the new block pattern and materials you will received...Once you start on the path, it will make sense to you. This last year, 2009, there was a BOM program that was shared by several sites. The fun was going to each site to get the new block. I have realized that there a gillion ways to get a finished quilt that I construct myself. This is only one way, but a fun way.........Thank you, sister quilters, for making this hobby a wonderful way to be in touch with others with the very same HUGE interest........Sharon / Portland, Or

for any paper piecers...or want to be paper piecers...visit the Carol Doak site...she is starting a new round robin, you make a center medallion with one of her (famous) paper piece patterns then each month she gives you instructions for what to add for your next border...up to a challenge? try it out, this way too, you finish your own rr and can see how good it turns out, boost your bravery level so you know you can join in to any other programs :)
