I've had a Brother for a few years now and am very happy with it. All of my quilts have been pieced and quilted on it, including some FMQ (still learning) and have not had any problems other than wishing I had a long-arm quilter and room in which to put one!

Can't Dh's do wonderful things occasionally ? So happy for you to get just what you wanted. I too, got a new Brother XS9000 for Christmas. I have already read the book, viewed the dvd and made a new block. I love this machine as I was sewing on an old White that did nothing. I know you are looking forward to all the doo-dads!

Congratulations and have fun this new year!

I am so happy for you! I hope you gave DH big hugs! I am still learning the machine my MIL gave me. It takes a little time, but you have to just dig in and get started.

Can't wait until you show us what you have produced!

I agree - your DH is really dear! My suggestion - find a store nearby where you can get some lessons. That machine will do much more than you think - so definitely worth lessons on how to get the max benefit out of it.

I so wish I could. There's not one within 200 miles of me
As soon as I get caught up, I want to start learning everything about it.

Ninnie, will you use your new machine to quilt your Navy & White quilt? Great you got it in time for the New Year so you can quilt those beautiful quilts quicker. TTUL

thanks, Sheila. No, I will still hand quilt the Navy and white, as it is going in a quilt show next year.
But I do intend to learn to machine quilt for small quick projects! :-D
