I bought one for paper and didn't like the inaccuracy of fussy cuts but a lot of people are happy with theirs. I returned mine. I've seen a couple of threads here about them.

I think for applique only, I would go with a less expensive machine. The Scan n Cut's main feature that makes it so expensive is the ability to scan and fussy cut.

I will let you know in a couple weeks, I plan to pick one up next weekend, as I have a lot of applique kits and patterns with applique. It also works well for applique for machine embroidery. It does seem to have a learning curve for the boards I have been on so I will return mine If I don't like it but I will try is for a few weeks and see

I bought in about six months ago and have used it once for appliqué. I cut my mat so be careful with the blade setting. I'm not using it as much as I thought I would. I need to think of projects that I can do with it. It did cut nice. I copied some leaves that I picked than scanned into the machine then cut them out. They came out good. Used them on a quilt.

I kind of remembered we discussed this recently. I found these in the Search function. There are a bunch more threads which could give you more info. Unless this is a different machine?
