"It would make me furious if someone went through my stash and decided which I would keep and which to discard!!!!!" My daughter, who was a non quilter at the time, did this to me and I cried the whole time she was cleaning it out. But the good news is it was Polyester fabric she got rid of. (In those days I could buy 4 yards for less than $10 to make a dress and I used to see lots of gorgeous fabric) So, in the long run, she did me a favor, haha. Made more room for quilting fabric that I started buying in later years and the polyester was donated to someone who made lap robes for a nursing home. My daughter has now made quilts and came to 'raid my stash' for the first one or two quilts she made! I have chuckled at some of the ideas presented and loved reading this thread!

Explanations for "why I bought more fabric (to add to the two tons already in the house"

and/or "why I bought another sewing machine (to add to the twenty that aren't being used already"

and/or "honey, this was SUCH a bargain!"

I think we've already seen and heard those explanations, though! LOL
