My more expensive irons only lasted a very short time, however I have an old black and decker stainless steel iron from the Home depot the is my all time favorite... I think I got it on sale for $20....

I'm a Rowenta gal as well. Have never had the leaking issues many others have. I also like a heavy iron. My grandmother always said use a heavy iron and it will do half the work for you.

Thanks everyone for you input. I decided to go with the row (my kindle will not let me spell it out but you know which one I'm talking about) I hope it lasts as long as the last one. 9 years with no problem.
