New Machine Decision Made
Recently I posted about replacing my Pfaff and I was considering three machines: Janome 8900, BabyLock Aria, Bernina 740.
Everyone's input was greatly appreciated.
Since free motion ability is the main reason I am replacing my Pfaff, I took small quilt sandwiches with me and tried it on the three machines. I feel that the best result I got was with the Janome.
I also found it next to impossible to find dealers here who were willing to allow payment plans, even for a short period of time.
At any rate, on Monday I get to bring home my new 8900. Considering I have 2 quilts to make before Christmas, it's going to get broken in rather quickly.
Thanks again,
Lynda
PS: Admins, I would have updated my previous thread, but couldn't find a way to edit the title.

I hope you held onto your Pfaff, that is, if it has IDT. I've had my Pfaff 1472 for about 30 years, and more and more I appreciate the IDT for long seams. I've yet to FMQ on it, but my really old Pfaff 260 is good for slow and steady FMQ. Congratulations on bringing home the Janome. I've liked every Janome I ever used, from the Gem Silver, Gem Gold & on up.

Congrats on your new Janome. I have a Janome Magnolia 7330 that I love. I don't do a lot of FM quilting but my machine is a real workhorse. Sounds like you will be putting it to the test soon with your Christmas quilts.

How exciting for you... I'm sure you're looking forward to Monday! New machines are so much fun... I haven't broken my 8900 in yet, but I sure have enjoyed the FMQ experience on it from what I've done so far.
