My nephew is getting married soon to a girl from Japan. I'd like to make them a wedding quilt with a Japanese flavor. I've found some awesome fabrics that were a Hoffman challenge for 2008. It has a big peacock and some large florals. It has a lt teal green background and violet and some cream flowers I need to make it a queen size. Anyone have any suggestions?

Maybe do some fussy cutting of the peacocks to make the main body of the quilt with sashing in between for separation. Keep the focus on the beautiful peacocks. You could add blocks made out of some of the other materials in the group so the peacocks don't become too overwhelming. Lovely fabric. Good luck!

Warm Wishes always comes to mind when I have a focus fabric. The peacocks would be gorgeous in one.

I have swwn that fabric as a wallhanging. I would use it as the center of the quilt and add coordinating fabric rextangles with corner stones to get to bed size. Try looking at patterns on www.Kona Bay.It will be stunning when done. Good luck.
