    Hi all,
I am making myself a quilt. I love batiks, so I have 7 batiks and I was going to make a quilt with the batiks in a row, attached to the next row of square batiks, as I really love the colors and don't want to cut them all up, but I have done that particular quilt already, and want to try something different. Any ideas, since I already have 6 inch squares all cut out?? I am itching to do something different, but I am still a beginner and have trouble with triangles, and also getting things to line up nicely for me.

One more question - I love string quilts, what is the difference between them and scrap quilts? Thanks!!!

Disappearing 9 patch is quick and easy. The 10 minute square is kewl too. You can do a search on the board.

Turning Twenty is a nice quilt with large blocks of color. You should be able to find the pattern in any LQS.

dnp is probably the best bet. especially since you have the squares cut out already. another one would be a trip around the world.

What about a square in a square block? You could do a neutral color sashing around the 6" sqs. Be sure and post some photos of the finished project when you get it done...crafty_linda_b
