Go to you local dealer in machines and maybe you could purchase a used machine in good condition, such as a Janome, Viking, Brother etc. Also some of those machines are not that high priced new. Even a Janome Gem Gold would do you until Christmas arrives. Good Luck

I bought the Singer Confidence Quilter to keep at my daughter's home out of state for when I visit. It works well for me. I keep it cleaned of dust; won't let anyone else touch it; and treat it as if it was a Bernina 440QE. It has served me well so far.

Wouldn't waste the money on any Singer product produced after 1964. Had two bad ones after that and switched brands. If you want a Singer buy and old one. They are still working and will continue to be good machines for the rest of your lifetime. Ann in TN

my bobbin tension would not hold in mine. lots of trouble with tension, got to the point the store couldn't even adjust it so had to have a new bobbon holder and that didn't last long. only had mine almost 1 yr.
