I think it is very nice. I think it will serve the purpose you are making it for.

Thanks for all your comments..... To answer a couple of your questions, the picture shows the colors a little faded. I was able to pick the colors and while it looks like there are a lot of different ones, the same colors will be carried out throughout the quilt so I'm hoping things will tie in at the end. The original quilt looks like they used a million fabrics.... I have tried to tone it down just a little.

I don't know the cost of the pattern. The LQS owner gave it to me to make the shop sample but her plan is to offer it in the shop and perhaps do a BOM with it. With 23 different blocks and borders she could run this for 2 years. And, there are so many techniques. If you make this quilt, you'll know how to do anything and everything.... machine and hand piecing, applique, paper piecing, templates, matching seams.... and more.

And finally, Yes, I will post the finished quilt when I get it done. You all keep me going..... I need your comments.

Too busy for me as well but I do prefer your choice of colors over the original. Very nice job on piecing!

I agree with the others....it is very busy. I would probably have a problem working on it too. Since I would only be making it for me, I would probably be re-engineering more to my tastes...but I really do love the fabrics. They take the blocks to the modern effect for me. I'm with everyone else....am really looking forward to seeing the final quilt. Please keep giving us these sneak peaks as you go.

I agree that it is busy! Not every fabric needs to yelling for attention; just some of them.

It's too busy for me. I have to concentrate on each block to appreciate its individual beauty. No place to rest my eyes from all the busyness. It looks like you did a lot of great work in
putting it together so far. I'm sure the store will love your craftsmanship. Angela

I really like your fabric choices and the blocks are really pretty. It is busy but if you simply added sashing between rows (horizontal sashing only) that would provide enough separation to be able to appreciate the various blocks easily.

Jean/Nanna-up-North,
I like the quilt a lot. I make lots of scrap quilts, so this appeals to me.
