I have made a lot of shirts for my husband and son and I want to make a quilt using the scraps from these shirts.

My personal goal will be at least two charity quilts per month (one for Project Linus and one for the battered women's center in my county); a t-shirt quilt for an acquaintance's daughter; a quilt top for the New Mexico Boy Scout Camp dormitory; and more 15-inch pocket quilts for the Binky Brigade. These small, cuddly blankets are carried by the US soldiers during their street patrols and given to children of war-torn areas. Of course there will be Guild projects and other family quilts and wall hangings during the year.

My resolution for 2011 is to start sewing for Christmas in January. I always come up short in getting done what I thought I could.

The only thing I'd love to do in 2011 is to start and finish a Dear Jane quilt. I've wanted to one for so long and now is the time!!!

These are the ones I already have the fabric:
-finish "Isabella" quilt (Benartex pattern)
-"Flowers of the Sun" quilt (South Seas Imports pattern)
-"Vintage Stitches" 12 block sampler by Thimbleberries
-OBW x 2
-Civil War quilt for DH (he's been asking for months!)
Fabric yet to purchase, but have the patterns:
-4 Judy Neimeyer paper pieced quilts

And if Santa brings me an Accuquilt Go, to start cutting 1 1/2" strips for a scrappy Log Cabin.

WHEW!

I MUST finish my son's queen size quilt before anything else. He has asked for about 3 yrs. Now he's getting married in May. It is started, the top of bed part is finished, but the sides/borders haven't been put on yet. I'm debating about having it quilted by Long Armer. So far I've done all my own quilting, including an extra large queen for my daughter. Son's is made with batiks and I've never used them before. I've heard batik is harder to quilt.
