Thanks for posting the link- I like how some people have added additional borders to make the design stand out... I might play with that.

I think it can be done in a day - I am doing hand sewing now and that is taking time. I could have machine sewn but I like the look that I am getting plus, my machine stitching on curves would have been all over the place.LOL

I'd love to do it, but I've GOTTA get those blue/white stars made - Can't put it off, I want to get a share of these beauties that are being posted!!

My backing fabric is in the dryer.... as soon as it comes out I will put this in the frames and pin baste it.... I may have to trim half an inch or so all around as my backing fabric was 1/2 inch narrower than the top..... and now that I've laundered it ....it may be even less.....so a bit of a trim won't hurt this tho as I felt 6 1/2 inches was plenty anyway! I don't like quilting blank spots like that....! LOL

It wouldn't fit on my wall anymore so threw it on the table!

Very nice!!! I am so impressed that it is going straight to being quilted. I don't seem to get mine done that fast.

IT'S DONE!!! I pinbasted it, quilted it and bound it all today!! So proud of myself! LOL

I took the summer off from quilting to get alot of yard work etc. done last year and then in Sept and Oct I had the 9 quilts of my MIL's to finish for Christmas so it really feels good to get something done just cuz I wanted to and just for me! LOL

Now......to get into my UFO bins!!! I have alot of things to do....not taking this summer off....!!

turned out fantastic! I'm at Step 3. I forgot to print out the template (have it saved at work) so I need to do that tomorrow so I can finish.

Patsy, You're putting me to shame! Your quilt is beautiful! AND it's done! I am so impressed!

I spent too much time playing with the blocks and came back to my first setting choice. Isn't that always the way? I've got one sides worth of triangles together, three sides to go. I've got the top three rows in one piece three more rows to go.
I'm finding the rickrack trim is making a big lump when I put the blocks together. I'm not real enchanted with the lump feature but it is what it is! I'm ironing the row seams apart and it helps a little bit.
Here's my layout choice.
