I am going to do the one from about.quilting.com. I am printing out all the pages today so I can go at my own pace. I am a slow quilter.

I wanted to do Pat Slones but could not find all of her fabrics. Wish she would have made a kit to buy.

I did the one at about.quilting yesterday. I am usually more of a scrappy quilter and while this mystery suggested that scrappy was doable, I wasn't comfortable going that route without an idea of what I would end up with. I didn't finish the top, got about 2/3 done. I am happy with the result even though I used only five fabrics. As soon as I get the top finished I will post a pic

Went to see.....she talked about how she was going to show her way of doing flying geese....but I could not find the " where"..... I am curious to see the technique....I don't like her color choices.....but to each his own.....if I were to do it, I would use my own fabs and make a "kit" to work from. From her measurements...not a lot of fab is needed.....

I wonder if Craftsy is doing another block of the month... I watched (but didn't make up) the ones for 2012 and 2013- they both looked intersting. I watched in 2014 when I started quilting...

The Craftsy 2014 blocks didn't really interest me. The colors were so loud that I didn't watch the lessons after the first month or two...

Here's hoping they do it again in 2015!!

Here's the site information. I worked on this one all day yesterday, until I ran out of one of the fabrics! Now I'm moving on to something else waiting for fabric to come in.

I've been following Bonnie Hunter's Grand Illusion Mystery Quilt, purchased the fabric for it at the Houston quilt show, and knew I wouldn't have time to start it until after the holiday season due to the fact that I'm working a 2nd job trying to save for a car. I did start it yesterday, and now have Step 1 finished! Pretty pink and aqua HST's, all 280 of the little suckers!!! I am taking all of next week off from my day job, so I have almost a week to play in the sewing room and get this thing done. I may change my mind once I see it, but I'm thinking of giving this quilt to a new and yet dear friend of mine. It's just too busy for my liking but I love the colors in it, so my friend may get something else. Bonnie Hunter's pineapple quilt perhaps? Much easier, and also cheaper as I will use the fabric I already have, and I bought the Grand Illusion fabric specific for Grand Illusion.
