i watched these 4 instructional videos from you tube and they were quite a help. since I am a newbie at this (my first attempt was 2 days ago) one thing i did that helped was to bring the bobbin thread to the top when starting and make sure the feed dogs are down and the presser foot is down, otherwise you get a big tangle of thread in the back. i hope these attachments work

This is what I learnt too. However my tension problems persisted till I raised up my feed dogs. I guess it differs from machines to machines. Some may work better with the feed dogs down, others prefer them up.

I received the kit today from Leah Day with the gloves, bobbin washers and supreme slider so I'm hoping to be able to try them out tomorrow. Wish me luck! :-)

I am so surprised how well the gloves and bobbin washers work! When I tried FMQ before getting these items the back of the sandwich was horrible but now it looks really good. I'd recommend these products to anyone! :-)

By leaving the feed dogs up, doesn't that defeat the idea of "free motion?" Sorry, this almost sound like an oxy-moron of the FMQ process. ;)

Work with me here please :-); they way you have stated it would be a big DUH to many. If you meant to say 'don't forget to lower the feed dogs', makes more sense. Again, work with me; perhaps I missed your point. ;)
