    I dont care for PP but for some patterns it is necessary.
    Most blocks use basic designs that by buying certain specialty rulers you can make most blocks. I have used patterns that call for HST's and Flying Geese that use outdated methods but with the rulers I have I can make them a much simpler way.
    Watch lots of videos and see what the experts use. I like Eleanor Burns methods and rulers best.
