I have found that putting extra tables around my sewing table when I am quilting a large quilt really helps. I make sure the quilt is on the tables and not dragging over the edge really makes a difference. It's not a wrestling match done that way, no matter which batting I use. Happy quilting!

I have also found with Warm and Natural that I get bearding that I don't get with QD. If you don't want "wrassle" don't use Hobbs either. I have a longarm and I've decided that I am going to go exclusively with QD - better results!

Check out Leah Day's website. She also has several Craftsy classes. She uses a technique she calls "puddling" and scrunches up the quilt around the area she's quilting. Also she talks about supporting the weight of the quilt on the back and left sides of your machine and using suspension from the ceiling.

Kirsten, it is an old 1980s McCall's pattern called Lover's Links.
I've finally got the major seams SID done so I can take the safety pins out and start playing. Got to figure out what motifs I want in the white squares & rectangles. I think I'm finally going to try golden threads paper & pounce to mark it.
