I've been looking at that ruler. Is it pretty easy to use? Your quilt looks great.

The rulers is almost foolproof. You do not have precision cut strips (just 1 1/2 inches or wider). You don't even measure the length of the strips. Just sew them on and then square up the block. The block doesn't ever get wonky. I used scraps of fabric that I didn't think would ever find their way into a quilt.

Thanks for the quilting suggestions. I really value your input. I'm not very good at this part of quilting, and it is so devastating to have a quilt half done and realize I made a bad choice.

Very pretty quilt, log cabins are one of my favorite blocks. I usually just do a meandering stitch on mine.

It's a beautiful quilt. I know whatever you decide on will be lovely.

id love to see the finished peoduct
The quilt is really pretty, but I love Lynnie's idea of the snail trail...I've just started FMQ and find myself hesitant or just unable to pick a quilt pattern. The snail trail always looks good!

I have made a dozen of Log Cabin quilts and love them. Yours is beautiful. I just bought a new machine that I can Stitch in the Ditch with. My old one was a 60 years old Kenmore - not much fun. I had been hand quilting them all which I love to do. That is another option - but takes a long time to finish. good luck

This quilt is sooooo pretty. We just moved and it wasn't until I picked up my scrap basket did I realize how full it is. Your quilt is truly an inspiration - gonna do this as I am at the "whatever I want' period. Thanks for sharing.
