Drat I just threw away some that were on the flowers I received at Mother's Day. I thought for a while and couldn't come up with what they could be used for.

I use those little ponytail rubber bands. The cloth covered ones.

If you know a florist, they might give you some to use. They come on the flowers they get. A friend in our tatting group, got some from her friend who is a florist and gave us several to use on our tatting thread balls.

They usually come with the machine. In any case, you could get them from the same place that you bought your serger. it is called "flunking" when the thread falls down below the reel and the nylon net prevents it from flunking.

the next time you try on shoes, keep the nylon sock the store usually supplies, punch a hole in the bottom and insert your thread and put on the spool.

FYI, the bottom link to JoAnns is for a product meant for balls of yarn that is much bigger. Wouldn't want anyone to waste the postage and order.

Hi, You can get those thread nets at a florest supply store. Florest use them on flowers to protect the flowers during shipping.
