Are these the same?

If not, can you explain the differences?

They are all variations of the same thing. Just a different number of repeats.
Kaleidoscope- a variegated changing pattern or scene.

Kaleidoscope blocks can be as simple or as complex as you want.

stack N wack you layer the fabrics= cut them mix up the pieces and sew them back together- they are not always kaleidescope style blocks- sometimes people cut rectangles- off kilter cuts- you do not have to worry about repeats & patterns so much
one block wonders and kaliedescopes are quite similar-but not necessarily the same.

The OBW uses only the hexagons of the single fabric to form the quilt.
The kaliedescope usually has sashing between the blocks as does the stack n whack.
It is my understanding that the stack n whack is only 4 pieces, the OBW is 6 pieces and the kaliedescope can be however many you want.

I wonder te diff also...I did a S&W and it was 8 pieces...We cut the same 12 1/2 block 8 times...Cut like a pie and piled each matching piece into 8 piles...Then you used the same 8 pieces in each pile to make diff blocks
