Many of us have been trying to use up our stash instead of buying more fabric. I was able to fit two stacks of fabric, that hadn't fit, into the vertical organized display of fabric I have. I was surprised and pleased that I'm accomplishing what I set out to do. It did help to organize my fabric in the beginning. The visibility of the fabrics allows projects to come together without the stress of digging through boxes :-D

I've been trying to do the same, now it seems like I have tons of scraps...guess it's a good thing I like to make scrappy quilts.

good job. EVERYTIME I make a quilt 'out of stash" i never have enough! this time I'm going to have to scrimp on the border & the last time DH took me to Paducah to try & find the fabric I was short on. Didn't happen & wound up buying some 'trying' to match. doesn't happen that way unfortunately

I usually only buy 6-8 yards of each piece and I'm trying to use up fabrics I have.Not much luck as I really haven't cut back much on buying more.

Working on my second quilt "out of stash" including the backing fabric. Haven't bought any fabric on my fabric diet and feeling really good about it!

good for you....I told DH I am renting an indoor storage unit for the winter so I can remodel my sewing room!
Wood floors, better shelving, and TOTAL destash of all the crafty things I no longer use!
