    Thank you so much.
It came out a bit brighter than I wanted so I dont buy the bright batiks so much any more.
    This is a very easy pattern. It uses only 3 1/2 x 2 inch pieces. 1560 pieces for a 78" x 90" quilt.

Here's the batik quilt I made. I plan to make it again. Sorry it's a link, I can't find the original photo on my computer (and I'm soooo tired!!)

I'm with you Amma. I absolutely love batiks, and like you I want to be sure to use them well. So there they sit in my stash waiting to become something.

I am considering making a French Braid quilt (king size) for our bed and think batiks are the way to go.

Everyone of the batik quilts the members have shared are absolutely beautiful.

Bright is GOOD. I think your quilt is stunning. I know some people love the civil war reproduction fabrics, but for me, I love color, intense, saturated color.

I used to be one of those CW ppl, in fact I still am but now I love Batiks AS WELL!!! It's funny, I used to think they were hideous and couldn't understand the attraction but now, I see their beauty! I'm about to bind a little wall hanging I made the other day, using some of the brightest batiks I ever saw and I love it (even if I say so myself!) Also I'm working on a PPd Storm at Sea, all in Batiks. The rooster in my avatar is Batiks mostly. So I guess you could say I'm a convert! :-D So I join you in your 'trouble'!

My outlook on batiks - I do not like them - until they are in a quilt!! I know it's so weird, but I have to be convinced to put them into a quit. THEN I love 'em!! Two of my friends have made whole quilts out of batiks. They are some of the most beautiful quilts I've seen.
