Ok, what kind of thread?
Alright, if I don't want to use monofiliment, but I don't want my quilting thread to show, what should I use? I'm quilting a wall hanging that has alot of different colors on the top. Part of it has the sky with clouds, and I don't want to have to buy tons of differnt color thread and have to change them constantly. Isn't there something I can use other then monofiliment that won't show the color of the thread? Thanx for any help you can give me. The back is just black.

I agree that Superior MonoPoly works well, it is a polyester based thread, easy to work with when you skip the thread guide right before the needle. I have to do this with my Husky Sapphire 875Q but not with my Janome 10000.

The thread weight is what makes a thread show or disappear into the quilt. I think the higher the thread weight, the thinner it is. I'm still learning myself and have a wall quilt I am procrastinating on quilting. LOL
