Is this "okay" to do? Copywrite question
I have found myself to be a collector of patterns. I love what I see, so I buy them, and only once in a while do I actually get the gumption, nerve, or time to make it. I'm getting quite a collection.
I'd like to make a copy of them and put them on the "free" table at my guild and/or sewing retreat friends, so they can enjoy and maybe use them.
Since I'm not getting any money for it, that isn't copy-write infringement is it??

no.
it would not be ok.
you would be breaking the law.
it would also be morally wrong.
the only legal and ethical thing would be to give away the originals and not make copies for yourself.
