    cleaning out my mom's basement from water damage from too much rain this summer. finally got to corner of basement where my dad kept all his tools etc. found this back in the corner, on the floor, under a bunch of stuff. it is a mess! no motor so guess treadle - which i also found the treadle wheel. stand for it has been out in yard for years - my mom had at one time had him put a board on top to make a patio table. orig top is long gone. any suggestions on how to clean this without damaging decal etc?

    Nice,
    Go to tutorials and look under cleaning vintage machines I believe the thread is. Billy has tutes on how to clean/service your own machines and if you have questions you can PM him and he'll answer.

    Poor thing, she is in need of lots of TLC. Good luck, hope she can be salvaged.

    I remember my mother having a Singer treadle machine. she had a motor put on it later on. I have no idea what happened to it though.
