Hi! I finally gave in and bought a new blade for my Olfa cutter only to run over a pin:( I never leave pins in...almost, was having a dumb day.. Has anyone tried the sharpener, and does it work?

I'd much rather spend my $ on fabric than on new blades, they are very expensive here.

I buy my blades at JoAnn's with a 50% off coupon so I can't help you.

The blue sharpener from Joann's is a total waste of money. Mine went in the trash!
It was not an Olfa.

I don't think any of the sharpeners will work for knicks like this, they are made more to being a sharpening aide, not to hone a blade in that manner...

After my experience I decided to just get the blades with coupons. I also ordered some from Harbor Freight but haven't received them yet.

THE RULER WITH THE SHARPENER BUILT IN WORKS GREAT!
MY LQS HAS THEM & SUGGESTED USING IT WITH YOUR CUTTER ONCE IN A WHILE EVEN TAKES OUT SMALL NICKS
