We don't have a JoAnne's in my little town and I wasn't about to venture out in that mad house of traffic for something I didn't know if they had or not so I went online as I'd just received an email from them on sales. Since moving to Iowa I haven't even thought of JoAnne's for my sewing needs. But I looked for a "make your own zipper" kit, some ready made piping, steam-a-seam (they didn't have it), fray check and a quantity of off-white thread for piecing. Got it all with free shipping so I'm happy. Of course now I have to wait for it to be delivered but at least I didn't have to venture out in traffic to get it. I'll work on something else till it gets here.

I went yesterday. Filled up my cart. I was able to really explore the store during the two hours of waiting. Sat at the pattern table and visited. One lady gave me her number (she cut with her mother) so I could move up. I thought they were very organized. Everyone was polite and friendly despite the long waits. Got my little bit of the Christmas rush. Saved a bundle. Now it is back to my sewing.

I went also, later in the morning. I only intended to check out the quality of the item I wanted, then to go home and order it online. However, it wasn't very crowded and the line was not long so I went ahead and got it while I was there. I only had 4 people in line ahead of me.

I went yesterday and cleared out their white on white quiilters choice. I'm making a log cabin and need whites for my light side and aquas for my dark side.

I can't understand why people continue to go back to JoAnn's. The service is HORRIBLE!!!!! The last time I went it was a Friday around 2 pm and spent 1 and 1/2 hours at the cutting table and 40 minutes at the register waiting for 6 people ahead of me. I only stayed because I needed the fabric to finish a quilt. After my adventure in the store, I went home and sent corporate an email regarding the service and to this date I am still waiting for a response. I will have to be at my wits end before I ever go back to Joann'sJoann's

I went to JAF today (Sunday) When am I going to learn to go directly and get a number. When I picked my number, it was 53 and they were calling number 6. I wanted this one piece of fabric to make something for my best friend and since I don't get out much anymore, I had to sit and just wait patiently. People had baskets overflowing with fleece. I would have waited all day to get a copy of Eileen Wright newest released book that is available ONLY in the store. For all her bargello fans, it is called MORE Twist and Turn Bargello Quilts. NOW, I have to decide which quilt I am going to make FIRST !!! And I saved 60% off the retail price !! YIPPEE !!
