Default Omnigrid Mat problems

I received the omnigrid mat with ironing cover that folds in half as a gift. I took it with me on retreat a couple of weeks ago. Because of the way the handles wrap around it you can not use it to cut since it is not level. Anyone else had this problem or am I using it incorrectly.
Thanks,
SandyGail

I've not seen this one before.

I didn't see any complaints but that doesn't mean anything.

I haven't seen that one in use, but maybe go out to the Omnigrid web site and see if there is any info there

I have one, do not leave it in the car, or try to use it as a carry case for your rulers, because it will warp. It will go back to shape with laying face down flat on a clean table surface with heavy books on it. I found it to be more delicate than the actual mats.
