I have now successfully, and happily ordered fabric from the US - and also from the UK. No duty in either case. yipee! Both were small quantities (less than 5 yards) but maybe I won't be so scared from now on. It would be really nice to be able to take advantage of those US prices.

Good for you! I order only if they charge exact shipping.Yes the prices are very reasonable for us.
A couple of sites i have used with great sucess are Happy Apple fabrics which i will get to visit in oct in florida.
Just got thomas train fabric for grs quilt from J&0 fabrics.
